Sunday Afternoon

Hello!
Today has been a pretty slow one. Very slow in fact. Yet, I can't believe it is only 3. Our 95% pastor spoke today-I say 95% because he hasn't been voted in officially yet- and I found it rather interesting. I always sketch or doodle whenever I listen to lecture or sermon or class. I retain things better that way. This man had a very nice voice to draw too. It wasn't soothing nor was it uncomfortable. It just created the right amount of energy to keep me on top of what he was saying. I have always had mixed feelings about church. I love the idea of church, just not what some people morph it into. What I mean to say, is that church has become very customized to our wants or needs. If you want a contemporary service or a traditional service, most churches give you that option. Catholic or Protestant, Bible or Lutheran. Its all about Jesus, and I feel some people forget about that. I know there are certain ways I prefer to worship, but that doesn't necessarily mean that I can't fully worship God any other way. A church. technically, is two or more believers who come together in the name of God. It doesn't matter if the Pastor or Priest or Reverend is standing behind a pew, pacing across the alter, or sitting in a circle with a groups of believers. It doesn't matter if the sermon is slow or if it is loud and full of "AMENS". This subject has been really prominent on my heart lately, and I really want to look into it more. :)

But anyway moving on..

I made chocolate peanut butter bark today. It didn't turn out very pretty, but I just needed a good dose of chocolate. It was well worth the slight mess I made. I have no idea what I am going to do for the rest of the day. I am home alone with my grandmother, and I have already completed my small checklist of making bark, making lunch, and watching three episodes of LOST season five-I am slightly obsessed :).

Well I guess I better do something productive.

Ciao!

Katy
